Romans 3:23 – (We have all sinned)

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 – (The result of sin is the penalty of death)

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 14:6 – (Jesus offered himself to be our substitute in death, our way to God)

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Luke 13:3 – (He asks that we reconsider the result of our sinful lives.)

I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.

Luke 18:13-14 – (To repent is to give up on the idea that we can be good enough for God)

And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!' ¹⁴ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

John 3:16 – (God's gift of love it for those who commit their trust to Jesus)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-11 – (Those who trust should confess their faith to God)

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ¹¹ For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."

Matthew 7:21 – (Confession without commitment is worthless)

2 Corinthians 5:15 – (Those who trust in Jesus will follow him in a new life)

And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

Revelation 3:20 – (God makes the first move, we just respond)

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Ephesians 2 – (Every true believer is transformed to be spiritually alive)

1 Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. ² You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world.
He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. ³ All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God's anger, just like everyone else.  ⁴ But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, ⁵ that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!)
